What we index, and what we don’t.
This page complements /database (browse and search the data) with the audit view: live per-stream counts, the real date range each stream covers, and the gaps we know about, stated plainly rather than buried.

Honest gaps
- Warning letters — historical backfill only reaches back to late March 2026. Warning letters issued before that date are not yet in this database. We are not claiming multi-year warning-letter history until that backfill is done.
- Recalls — cover 2023 onward following a bulk backfill; recalls issued before 2023 are not indexed.
- Form 483s and approvals — coverage windows are shown live in the table above and will keep changing as ingestion continues; check this page rather than assuming a fixed range.
- Every count on this page is a live query against the same production database that powers /database — no number here is hardcoded, and this page will reflect new backfills or ingestion gaps automatically.
